How Rate My Contractor Works
Let's say you need painting, but not just any painting. You have a 2 story house that needs exterior painting.Step 1
When you login to ratemycontractor.com, search for painters.In the search results you will see which contractors in your area have been rated by other members. If a contractor is not show it will provide you the opportunity to create a brief listing. The search results will also briefly tell you:
- Company name
- each company's current rating
- how many reports they have received
- CSLB number
- Coupon (if one I s offered)
Step 2
Click on a company name to see their full profileThis will give you a chance to see the contractor’s detailed profile. There are as follows:
· Contractor business name, owner(s) name
· name
· address
· services performed
· Logo
· "certified," or not (admin will have to verify this feature)
· Portfolio (past work completed)
· direct link to website (customized URL e.g. www.ratmycontractor.com/johndoe)
· contact contractor button (takes user to a form that gets filled out which is sent to admin,=lead),
· business license number
· insurance coverage amount (a feature/icon that shows how their insurance compares to other similar contractors)
· scanned in copies CL
· insurance # and coverage
· workers compensation amount (profile will show how it compares to others in industry)
· Facebook "like" button, twitter "like" button, "share this" button
· About us (founded, years in business, size, why us, meet the team, custom fields etc...) (no phone or email addresses allowed)
· Coupon section
· Availability calendar (sync’s with contractorconnect)
· 5 different rating scales (performed to expectations, punctuality, communication, quality of work, cleanliness of job site, overall value, and testimonials.)
· FAQ section
· Business location via Google map
